Hi Grandad Ferd,

Loss of taste is a potential side effect of both Atacand, Apo Timol, and Norvasc.

Thenkyou for the info. I am sick and tired of not smelling and tasting everything I asked my doctor about this 2-3years ago as I am taking all three of these for HPB he gave me an evasive answer but didn't acknowledge the fact that it could be the  pills I am intending to wean myself off these pills find a new doctor and hopefully control my BP with more natural remedies. Your comments and advice would be appreciated

Definitely work with your physician to monitor your condition as you wean off the medication. Here is a link to information on diet and lifestyle changes to promote a lower blood pressure - http://www.healthcentral.com/high-blood-pressure/treatment.html?ic=4019.
