Tuesday, November 03, 2009 Concerned Relative asks

Q: What happens if someone refuses a triple bypass, what are their chances?

My dad is 70 years old and he smokes, he just had a mild heart attack.  The Doctors just told him he needs a triple bypass.  But his refusing this and thinks he will be alright.  What should we expect and what are his chances?  He lives in Canada. I haven't talked with his doctors, he won't let us go see him.

Hi Concerned Relative,

The answer to your question is dependent on your fathers condition.  If possible I recommend speaking with his physician to better understand the situation.

All the best,

Hi Concerned,

You Dad may not need triple bypass surgery. What he really needs is unclogged arteries. Even if he survives surgery those veins will clog also in a couple of years.

Would your Dad listen to a second opinion? Go to: www.GreatHealth-Tour.com/mfarris

This is Dr. Harry Elwardt's website. He is located in Illinois and is available by phone for a consultation.
