Thursday, April 22, 2010 Billy Higgins, Community Member, asks

Q: Cronic Heart Failure, I had a four way bypass, now I have a pacemaker and defibulator, my heart

only pumps 28% on left side. I have a heart valve leaking. Can I do strainous work like shovling dirt and moveing it with whill borrow. Also do you think I have a chance to live a normal life I am 59 now. My arms get tingley sometimes when I am working.

I encourage you to speak with your primary care physician or cardiologist regarding the type of activity they think is appropriate for your body.  Only your physician knows all the details about your health and can safely answer this question.
