Q: is it normal to only take the plavix for two months?

my Dr siad i should only have to take this medication for two months while others i know have been taking it for three yrs

Hi Laurie,

 

Go back to your physician and quiz him/her further. Share exactly what you've asked here to learn the reason they only recommends Plavix for two months (everyone's situation is different, so maybe there's a specific reason they only want you on the medication this length of time) or consider seeking a second opinion to ensure your treatment plan is appropriate.

Hi laurie,

 

Dosage and duration of treatment with Plavix are dependant on your individual medical condition(s).  I encourage you to speak with your physician if you have any questions about Plavix and how it is prescribed for you.
