Q: Help me to understand if my mother is suffering from a heart disease.

My mother is 82 & suffers from severe swollen ankles & lower legs, to the point she has a hard time to walk Or find shoes that fit. She also suffers from a chronic unproductive cough for a year now. She's  on high blood pressure medication, plus voids fequently during the night. She has been to the doctor but He says there is nothing wrong. A chest x-ray showed nothing. Should I be concerned about congestive heart failure? I am not at all pleased with her doctors care of her symptons & a second opinon may convince her to do further tests. Thank-you.

Dear Worried,

At age 82, almost all the body systems are worn out. However, fluid retention is never a good thing. I recommend that you contact Dr. Harry Elwardt and ask him for a natural approach to regaining her Mom's health.
