Hi Yaseen,

The National Institute of Health states that supplementing fish oil (omega-3 fatty acids) over 3 grams per day may increase bleeding risk.  Fish oil appears to decrease platelet aggregation (clotting), resulting in increased bleeding (nosebleeds, blood in the urine, strokes).

If you are on anti-hypertensive (blood pressure lowering) medications, speak to your MD and closely monitor your blood pressure to determine what effect the supplement is having.

On a more mild note, if you use fish oil to add omega 3 to your diet, a side effect is "fishy" burps.  Not everyone experiences this, but if you have this problem try taking the fish oil and then eating something.  Having something "sit on top" the fish oil may help.
