My girlfriend has a heart condition and apparently its at an incrediably dangerous stage now. Within the last 3 weeks she's had 3 heart failures is there anything, surgery, medicine, therapy, any thing that would help prolong her life or save/aid her heart? my reasoning is if her heart stops and is able to restart wouldnt that mean a pacemaker would work? to keep regulating and sending shocks to the heart when it finds it slowing down too much? please contact me back asap.

Thanks for your question and I am sorry your friend is so ill. Heart disease is so complex; there are many different manifestations of the disease. It is tough to know exactly where to point you, so let me provide a few links to inforrmation that migh tbe helpful. As well, it is so important that she stay in good communication with her doctors, they will know what the best next steps are for her.
