Yvonne,

It is good that you saw a doctor regarding these symptoms. While these symptoms, among many others, can be associated with a heart attack, a negative ecg and blood enzymes is usually very accurate in ruling out a heart attack.

Gall stones can also cause these symptoms, frequently by causing pancreatitis.  This occurs because the common bile duct, which is formed from the bile duct coming from the liver and another duct from the gall bladder, feeds into the intestine in the same area where the pancreatic duct (from the pancreas) leads into the intestine. The stones from the gall bladder can obstruct the flow of enzymes from the pancreatic duct, causing inflammation of the pancreas. This can certainly cause the symptoms you describe. Obviously, your doctor is the best person to determine the cause of the symptoms and appropriate treatment. If appropriate, removal of the gall bladder can improve these symptoms and prevent a reccurence.
