Q: What does the result of a pt test 1.6 or 2.6 mean? I went from a 2.6 to 1.6 in one month. Does this mean it takes 1.6 min for my blood to coagulate and last month took 2.6 min. ?
When the number is low does that mean the blood is thinner or thicker?
Hi Alba,
Here's a link to some information:
Prothrombin time
I recommend discussing your lab results with your physician. There are different measures, such as seconds versus the international normalized ration (INR).
All the best,
