Tuesday, April 12, 2011 neil asks

Q: i have a bicuspid aorta normal function nothing wrong with it at all. but i get too scared to do exercise and have a fear or dropping dead.. is it possible to live a normal life with this? im 27 male

every thing on echo scan normal but this. UP till  i found out, i was very fit going the gym playing football ect, my resting heart rate is 45 bp

Your physician is probably the best person to advise you on this issue, since he or she can review your medical history and any concerns related to valve function.

Well they say every thing is fine. But im having trouble beliving them. Is it possible to have nothing wrong with it? i only seem to read bad things about this condition..... can an echo appear to show a bicuspid valve when really its tricuspid
