Q: Supplements

I have purchased a digestive supplement called Bromalite off the internet and Acai Berry supplement to help get rid of fat and cleanse my system. Are these ok to take with my diuretic, simvasic for cholesterol and Effexor? I feel good taking it. I had an angioplasty 12 yrs ago, no stint. I am 57.

Please advise.

Thanks,

Bobbie

Hi Bobbie,

When it comes to supplements, it's best to consult your physician. Your MD fully knows your medical history and can assess if there are any potential interactions between the supplements, your medications, and your conditions.

I'm sorry I'm unable to offer you more guidance in this area.

All the best,
