Q: What is the average life expectancy of a post bypass male (in good health otherwise) who underwent the procedure at age 50?

Hi Norman,

 

Great question. I haven't seen any data on this, but I bet it varies greatly depending on the diet and lifestyle changes you make post surgery to promote heart health. I recommend discussing with your physician to get his/her input.
