Hi Secondtwin,

I encourage you to take steps to lower cholesterol naturally and reduce your need for the medication or reduce the dosage level of medication to decrease the side effects.  Here is a link to information on diet and lifestyle changes to promote a lower cholesterol level - http://www.healthcentral.com/cholesterol/lifestyle.html?ic=4026.

Also, continue to work with your doctor to find a medication that gives you minimal side effects.

All the best,

Lisa Nelson RD
