Q: A controller pacemaker?

Would a pacemaker, after a certain time, take over the normal functioning of one's heart to the point  of becoming solely depending from it ?? If so, would the recipient's life be in danger if the implant could malfunction  or is there a "way out" predicted in this situation ?   Nobody in the industry seems to be eager to talk or consider this medical emergency.....

Hi Oswald,

 

A pacemaker is only implanted when your life at risk due to an improperly functioning heart. If the pacemaker were to malfunction you would be in danger. I recommend discussing with your doctor. Here is a link to some information on pacemakers:
