Q: My doctor said I had an MI, but cardiac echo and stress tests did not show any problems. Ekg showed "signifcant changes" He discharged me from hospital and told me to resume normal activity. Worried

had several days of chest pressure, profuse sweating, lighthead and generally not feeling "right" went to f/p where he did an ekg which showed significant changes. He admitted me to ICU and scheduled a stress test and cardiac echo. after 3 days in hospital he said all those test were normal and sent me home to go back to work and continue normal activity. diagnosis was MI. still not feeling "right" cold sweats and lightheaded today at times. I am a 55 year old male

Hi Loren,

 

I'm sorry to hear about your recent MI.  You should speak with your physician again and/or get an evaluation by a cardiologist to determine what treatment, if any, you need.  Here is a link with information on Heart Attack Diagnosis inlcuding some information about the tests that you had done.  Good luck with everything.
