april 2006 i received angioplast with 5 stenst. I am using since that time plavix, cocore and sometime gesperin. I have diabetes type 2 and using 2 tabs daily of glucovance 500mg/5mg.
I am working at site with reasonable walking. excecise 2 time per week but not regular. duration is about40 minutes.

To prevent further heart disease you should exercise daily, eat a low fat and low cholesterol diet and avoid tobacco. In fact, a recent guideline published by the American Heart Association suggests that all adults aged 18-35 exercise at moderate intensity for 30 minutes, at least five days per week. If your stent is one of the drug-eluting types continue taking the plavix unless directed to stop by your cardiologist, as there has been some concern with late restenosis (repeat closure) of the stent in those whose plavix was stopped.
