What is Double outlet right ventricle?
My 9 month old is diagnosised with DORV what can be done for treatment.
Hi Momaneice04,
Double outlet right ventricle is a congenital heart disease where the aorta rises from the right ventricle (a heart chamber that pumps blood to the lungs), instead of from the left ventricle (the aorta is suppose to come from the left ventricle in order to send blood replenished wtih oxygen out to the rest of the body). This condition typically requires corrective surgery. I recommend discussing the treatment plan with her physician.
All the best,
