Wrong. The veinal walls become thicker as the tunica media becomes thicker. In addition to this, the vasa vasorum, which is not present in the walls of veins, develops. The additional thickness requires that the newly moved vein develop its own circulatory system to feed the thicker wall. The Vasa Vasorum is the capilaries of the thick arteries.
