Can I use HRT while taking Plavix?
I had a stent (drug coated) put in my Left Descending Ventricular Atery after a mild heart attack (DR. states he's not 100% sure it was a mci, even mild poss.angina) in 2005. I stopped HRT because of this and since have felt moody, depressed, and lost my libido. I felt so much better with HRT until the Dr. did discontinue it 2 mos. after angioplasty for fear related to something that I can't even remember. I am a 53 year old female (obviously) and am actually angry that my Dr. did not give me any choice with a drug coated stent or a plain stent.
He stated that I would have to take Plavix for the rest of my life.
