Generic Name: DIGOXIN PEDIATRIC ELIXIR - ORAL
Pronounced: (didge-OX-in)

Lanoxin Oral Overdose

If overdose is suspected, stop taking this medication and contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. US residents can call the US national poison hotline at 1-800-222-1222. Canadian residents should call their local poison control center directly. Symptoms of overdose may include: severe nausea/vomiting/diarrhea, muscle weakness, fainting, severe abdominal pain, fast/slow/irregular heartbeat. In infants and children, fast/slow/irregular heartbeat, especially a very slow heartbeat, may be an early sign of overdose.

Lanoxin Oral Missed Dose

If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember if you remember within 12 hours. If you remember after 12 hours have passed, skip the missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule. Do not double the dose to catch up. If you miss more than two doses in a row, call your doctor to get a new dosing schedule.

Do not share this medication with others.

There are different brands and forms of this medication available. Not all are identical in their effects. Do not change brands or forms without consulting your doctor or pharmacist.

Laboratory and/or medical tests (e.g., kidney function tests, blood mineral levels, digoxin levels, electrocardiograms) should be performed from time to time to monitor your progress or check for side effects.

Keep all regular medical and laboratory appointments. Learn how to check your pulse, and share the results with your doctor. Consult your doctor for more details.

Lanoxin Oral Storage

Store at room temperature at 77 degrees F (25 degrees C) away from light and moisture. Brief storage between 59-86 degrees F (15-30 degrees C) is permitted. Do not freeze or store in the bathroom. Keep all medicines away from children and pets.

Properly discard this product when it is expired or no longer needed. Consult your pharmacist or local waste disposal company for more details about how to safely discard your product.
