Trubion Pharmaceuticals is reporting that drugmaker Pfizer has decided to halt is collaboration on the development of a new rheumatoid arthritis (RA) drug in favor of quickening the progress of a next-generation RA treatment that is behind in clinical trials. The discontinued drug, TRU-015, had shown promise in its studies, but the company has instead decided to hasten the development of an alternative to the RA drug Rituxan (rituximab), currently called SBI-087.
