People who have the heart defect known as Marfan syndrome may be
protected from aneurysms by the medication Doryx, a new study
suggests. Researchers gave Doryx to mice with the defect and found
that the med blocked the proteins that break down the aorta and
cause dangerous aneurysms in Marfan syndrome patients.
