Cardiovascular Side Effects

The sleep medication modafinil helped patients with excessive
sleepiness without cardiovascular side effects, according to new
research. In a study of 1,529 people with excessive sleepiness
associated with shift-work sleep disorder, obstructive sleep apnea,
and narcolepsy, patients received modafinil or a placebo. Modafinil
was well tolerated, with headache, nausea and infection the most
common adverse side effects.
