Researchers identify enzyme that fights artery plaque

Researchers at Virginia Commonwealth University have identified the role of a key enzyme that lowers the risk for heart disease. The enzyme--called CEH--helps reduce plaque in the arteries that clog the vessels and cause heart disease. Researchers hope their discovery leads to new, targeted treatments that will boost CEH levels and help reduce people's risk for heart disease. Read more »
