Dizziness Chest Pain

A family spokesperson says Barbara Bush, the former First Lady and mother of former President George W. Bush, is recovering well after undergoing open heart surgery in Houston this week. The surgery, to replace a hardened aortic valve, was scheduled last week after Mrs. Bush experienced shortness of breath. Left untreated, hardened aortic valves can lead to heart failure or sudden cardiac death. Other symptoms of a hardened artery include dizziness and chest pain.
