A new study is Taipei has found that sudden hearing loss may be an early warning sign of an impending stroke. Researchers analyzed data on 1423 adult patients hospitalized in 1998 with a first episode of sudden hearing loss. After adjusting for gender, income, living conditions, and comorbid illnesses, the risk of stroke was 1.64 times greater in these patients. Read more »
