Doctors explain heart screening advice for ADHD patients

The American Heart Association recently recommended that children taking stimulant medications for attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder have an electrocardiogram to detect heart abnormalities. The group clarified this recommendation after patients and doctors were confused about how to interpret it.
