Doctors at Cedar-Sinai Heart Institute have found that the heart drug Multaq (dronedarone) is not as effective as the generic drug Cordarone (amiodarone) at treating atrial fibrillation, a common type of heart arrhythmia. The researchers also found that Multaq did not cause fewer side effects than the generic drug.
