British and Norwegian researchers have found that women who have
cardiovascular risk factors such as high cholesterol, excess
weight, and high blood pressure have a greater chance or developing
preeclampsia when they're pregnant. The study also suggests that
pregnant women who develop preeclampsia are a higher risk of
developing heart disease later.
