Some blood pressure meds may prevent Parkinson's

People who take calcium channel blockers such as Norvasc and Procardia to lower their blood pressure may also be protecting themselves from developing Parkinson's disease. British researchers studied 7,000 men and women and looked for patterns in the development of Parkinson's disease and the use of blood pressure meds. The scientists found that people who took calcium channel blockers lowered their risk for developing Parkinson's by 23 percent. Read more »
