Study: White men with chest pain seen fastest in ER

A new U.S. government study has found that white men who go to the emergency room complaining of chest pain are more likely to receive treatment for heart trouble faster than women or African Americans. Scientists say these findings may be less about discrimination that they are about white men being more likely to have ischemic heart disease and women and nonwhites commonly having other causes for chest pain.
