British researchers have found that cholesterol-lowering statins may help prevent premature artery aging in people suffering from advanced heart disease. Experts say the cells in the arteries of people with heart disease divide much more quickly than normal, and this causes old cells that aren't effective at repairing themselves to build up in the arteries.
