Chronic chest pain could be a 'red flag' for women

Most people believe heart attacks happen suddenly. But new research suggests that for women, it's chronic chest pain that may be a 'red flag' for future heart problems, even if women do not have blocked arteries. A study published in the European Heart Journal found that women who suffer from persistent chest pain are more than twice as likely to suffer a heart attack, stroke, or other cardiovascular problem than women who do not have chest pain.
