A new study in the American Journal of Medicine has found that some heart-attack patients don't get needed medications or treatments. Researchers found that about 10 percent of heart-attack patients don't undergo angioplasty or receive antiplatelet meds following their attack. Experts say these treatments save lives and prevent lasting damage to the heart, and they should be standard treatments.
