A poll of 879 doctors has found that 72 percent think patients with coronary heart disease or diabetes are not getting the treatment they need from single-therapy statins like Lipitor, Crestor, and Zocor. In addition, 86 percent think that drugs like Vytorin that treat two sources of cholesterol--the liver and intestines--are likely to produce better results in these patients.
