Severe menopause symptoms boost women's heart risks

Dutch researchers have found that women who have the most severe
menopause symptoms may also have the highest risk of heart disease.
The researchers surveyed 5,648 women, aged 46 to 57, about their
menopausal complaints and collected data on other health
information such as their cholesterol and blood pressure. The data
showed that women who suffered from flushing and night sweats had
higher cholesterol levels, blood pressure, body mass index, and
they also a slightly increased chance of developing heart disease
over the next decade.
