Reports: Michael Jackson dead from cardiac arrest

Pop star Michael Jackson has died after being rushed to a hospital in Los Angeles. Jackson, 50, reportedly collapsed at his home and was found in cardiac arrest when paramedics responded to a 911 call from his home around 12:26 p.m. The paramedics performed CPR and took him to UCLA Medical Center, where Jackson slipped into a coma and later died, the Los Angeles Times and the Associated Press report. Asked for specifics of the patient's condition, LA Fire Chief Steve Ruda said he could not discuss them because of federal privacy laws.
