Experimental drug may help tough-to-treat hypertension

A new drug called darusentan has shown promise for treating people with hard-to-treat high blood pressure in a pivotal clinical trial. In the study, the experimental medication helped reduce blood pressure in people who were still hypertensive despite trying three or more medications. Scientists say if the drug continues to show positive results, it could be "enormously beneficial."  Read full story >
