Headphones may interfere with implanted heart devices

A new study has added to evidence that portable headphones create magnetic interference that can make implanted defibrillators and pacemakers malfunction. Scientists say headphones that are worn over the head do not cause this problem, but those that hang near the heart or are stored in shirt or jacket pockets near the chest do appear to affect the heart devices.  Read full story >
