Stroke puts stress on marriages: study

British scientists have found that when one member of a married couple suffers a stroke, it can take a major toll on the couple's relationship. In a study of 16 married stroke survivors aged 33 to 78, investigators found that the stroke significantly affected such factors as the couples' relationship roles and sexual activity. The couples also reported feelings such as anger and frustration that were aggravated by persistent fatigue and lack of independence.  Read full story >
