Higher losartan doses beneficial in heart failure patients

High doses of the angiotensin-receptor blocker (ARB) losartan can reduce hospital admissions and death in people who suffer from heart failure, new research suggests. In a study of 3,846 heart failure patients in 30 countries, investigators found that higher doses of losartan reduced the risk for death or admission for heart failure by 10 percent.
