Waist Size, Body Mass May Predict Heart Disease Risk

Dutch scientists say measuring overweight people's waist size and body mass index (BMI) can accurately predict their risk for developing or dying from heart disease. Though obesity, BMI, and large waist size have long been known to be risk factors for heart disease, this is the first study to show that these measurements can actually be used to predict someone's heart risks.
