Marriage Reduces Men's Stroke Death Risk: Study

According to a new study, men who are unhappily married or single are more likely to die from a stroke than men who are happily married. For their research, scientists looked at data on more than 10,000 men and found that both men who were single and those who were dissatisfied with their marriages had a 64 percent higher chance of having a fatal stroke than content, married men. Researchers say having a supportive partner may help men be more compliant with stroke prevention measures such as weight loss and medication.  Read full story >
