Folic Acid Does Not Reduce Stroke Risk: Study

Though previous studies have linked folic acid to reduced blood pressure, a new study has found that consumption of folic acid does not appear to prevent strokes. Researchers say the study, which involved a review of clinical trial data on more than 39,000 people, settles the question about whether health care providers should recommend folic acid supplements to prevent strokes.
