Cutting Soda Improves Blood Pressure

A new 18-month study suggests that cutting even one can of sugared soda per day from your diet can improve your blood pressure. Cutting soda consumption this much was linked to a 1.8 points reduction in systolic pressure and a 1.1 points reduction in diastolic pressure. This blood pressure improvement was found in older adults whose starting soda consumption was well below the average American soda intake of 2.3 servings of sweetened beverages per day.  Read full story >
