Heart Devices Not Tested Enough on Women: Study

Many heart devices are given approval by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration without being adequately tested on women, researchers say. University of California, San Francisco scientists say their finding means that pacemakers, stents, defibrillators, and heart valves are being implanted in women without enough evidence that they will help people in this population.
