Where You Live Plays a Big Role in Health: Study

Where you live plays a bigger role than expected in your access to healthcare. Researchers at Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health found that black and white patients who lived in poor areas had around the same level of health disparities when compared to people who lived in more affluent neighborhoods. Experts say this suggests that addressing the health resource needs in neighborhoods may be a good short-term solution to closing disparities in healthcare while aiming to close racial disparities.  Read full story >
