Shortness of Breath in Adults

It is a bit unusual to not feel more short of breath with exertion. It may be that you are sighing frequently or you are just more aware of your breathing. This can occur if you are under stress or depressed. Call your doctor if this persists over the next week or two. Call sooner if the symptoms get worse.
