I have been on 5mg. generic Norvasc for about one year. about 2 months ago I noticed my hair thinning very quickly. I have narrowed it down to this medication. I am a 63 YO male with some hair loss to start with but this definately has worsened my hair thinning. I am now considering stopping all together. I also have tinnitis in my right ear and sometimes experience blurry vision.
I've experienced the same side effects, hairloss. I didn't know my hair was thinning because of the Norvasc but it is. My mother takes Norvasc as well and mentioned that it's making her hair thin, especially in the top of her head. I've been experiencing it much longer than she has but didn't think it had anything to do with the Norvasc. At my next Doctors appt, I will be asking to be put on something else.

Has anyone found a solution for the thinning of your hair from taking Norvasc. I started taking the generic form of Norvasc 3 months ago. All of a sudden I noticed my hair is getting thinner on th sides and top. My doctor said most medications cause fallout. I am going to try NUTRI-OX vitamins. It is for thinning and fine hair. I found it at Sally's. The manager said others swore by it. I will let you know if it helps. I am so stressed I can't stand it.

Yes. I'm a 47 years old female and have been taking Norvasc for over a year and I have had hair loss. My hair is very short now, but my blood pressure is under control and I don't know of any other alternatives. I would appreciate any information you get on this issue.
