Yes, as the title states I started Coreg Cr for my 29th Birthday...can't wait to see what 30 will bring. Little background info. My mother's parents did not live past 60 due to a heart attack and anuerysm. My mother has very high blood pressure which is finally controlled, along with high cholestrol. A few weeks back I started having a heavy feeling in my left chest, as if someone placed 3 bricks on my chest. I'd also have a feeling in my left arm above me elbow as if someone were squeezing it. Once in awhile not always at the same time my heart would race. I was awaken in the middle of the night with the heavyness so decided maybe I should see my doctor. I began taking my blood pressure and it would vary from the lowest 127/85 to 150/93. I'd average at 132/92. I made a doctors appointment and my bp was 150/90, an EKG was done and it showed nothing. I just felt like I was going crazy. I was refered to a cardiologist, and began Coreg Cr almost two weeks ago. I haven't had the heavyness feeling for about a week. Which is very nice! But, I am feeling so fatigued, is this a common side effect? Will the subside some as I get "used" to the medicine? I am going back this week to the cardiologist for a stress test and echocardiogram. I guess he could place me an a different med, are there some that make you less tired? My blood pressure has been 120/80 not much fluctations, has dropped to 115/75 once. Thought maybe I was tired because my bp has getting to low, but I have not felt dizzy. Thanks for the help.
